Often used with a more affectionate tone than the full-bodied <a href="/rabbit/">🐇 rabbit</a>. Also often used to represent the <a href="/easter/">Easter Bunny</a>.

Available as an Apple <a href="/animoji/">Animoji</a>.

Microsoft&rsquo;s rabbit face was <a href="/microsoft/windows-10/rabbit-face/">previously</a> pink-colored&nbsp;with one ear flopping down. Facebook&rsquo;s rabbit face was <a href="/facebook/1.0/rabbit-face/">previously</a> gray-colored&nbsp;with both ears flopping down.

Rabbit Face

A rabbit, a hoppy mammal with long ears. Depicted as a white, gray, or brown rabbit in full profile facing left with pink ears and a short tail, sitting on its long, hind legs or on all fours.

May be used in association with <a href="/spring/">spring</a>, <a href="/easter/">Easter</a>, magic, <a href="/people-with-bunny-ears/">bunny ears</a>, or various rabbit-based characters or expressions (e.g., going down the rabbit hole).

At one point, Google&rsquo;s chipmunk was looking forward, squinting with a buck tooth. Microsoft&rsquo;s <a href="/microsoft/windows-10/chipmunk/">previous</a> black-and-white design could be mistaken for a <a href="/skunk/">skunk</a>.

Chipmunk

A brown beaver with buckteeth and a wide paddle-like tail. Can be used in the context of actual beavers, or metaphorically to evoke qualities of beavers like working hard, as in the expression beavering away.&nbsp;

Commonly associated with Canada, as beavers are a national emblem of the country. May also be used in reference to the vagina, which is an informal sense of the word beaver.

Beaver

A hedgehog. A&nbsp;small, spiny mammal sometimes kept as a pet. Generally depicted in full profile on all fours facing left, with a round, brown body covered with spines and&nbsp;a light-brown face and underside.

Sometimes used to represent a porcupine or echidna.

Twitter&#39;s design has always been a hedgehog facing forward. Google&#39;s design originally featured a hedgehog facing forward, though it was changed to full profile with Android 11.0. Facebook&rsquo;s design <a href="/facebook/2.1/hedgehog/">previously</a> featured a hedgehog&nbsp;on its back, rolled up in a ball.

Hedgehog

An otter, the playful water mammal in the weasel family. Depicted as a light-brown otter on its back, with its forepaws held together and whiskered face to the left, generally with its long tail curled up.

May be used to refer to certain members of the <a href="/pride">LGBTQ</a> community, a la the slang term &quot;otter&quot;.

Apple&rsquo;s otter is in water, holding a stone, as is Microsoft&rsquo;s.

Otter

A skunk, a bushy-tailed mammal that sprays a foul odor when threatened. Depicted in full profile on all fours facing left, with black hair and its distinctive white stripe running from its head down to a curled-up tail.

Google&rsquo;s original skunk design bore a humorously&nbsp;haughty air.

Skunk

A badger, a stocky mammal in the weasel family with a&nbsp;long, pointed head. Generally depicted in full profile on all fours facing left, with a gray coat, black-and-white-striped face, and short tail.

Google&rsquo;s design used to feature a friendly, cartoon-styled black-and-white badger face. Facebook&rsquo;s badger is sitting on its hind legs.

A mouse, as used to control a cursor on a <a href="/desktop-computer/">computer</a>. Generally depicted as a white or gray, cordless device with a scroll wheel between left- and right-click buttons.

Used for various content concerning computers, including gaming and various senses of click (e.g., clickbait).

Apple&rsquo;s design resembles the company&rsquo;s <a href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Magic_Mouse">Magic Mouse</a>, with a single button. Google&rsquo;s mouse <a href="/computer-mouse/">previously</a> had&nbsp;a cord.

Three Button Mouse

A trap used to catch a <a href="/mouse/">mouse</a>, <a href="/rat/">rat</a>, or other unwanted rodent.&nbsp;Metaphorically used in emoji form to suggest any kind of trap or entrapment.

The style of trap shown on major platforms has a box held high with a single stick. A wedge of <a href="/cheese-wedge/">cheese</a> is used to lure a mouse into the box, knocking the stick away and trapping &mdash; but not killing &mdash; the mouse.

This is distinct from other traps which kill or injure upon capture.

Mouse Trap

The face of a&nbsp;<a href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dragon">dragon</a>, a mythical creature resembling a giant reptile found in the folklore of many cultures. Depicted as a green, <a href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chinese_dragon">Chinese-styled dragon</a> looking straight ahead or facing left. Often shown with huge nostrils, baring large teeth and a red tongue, with antler-like structures on its head, whisker-like tendrils by its nostrils, and a green or yellow mane.
