Beginning its rollout for select Samsung devices from mid-January 2022, this small emoji updated changed the design of Samsung's ✨ Sparkles emoji to be more consistent with those of other emoji vendors.

Additional devices received this emoji update alongside Samsung's One UI 4.1 update, which was made widely available in March 2022 after initially debuting with the Galaxy S22 series of devices a month earlier.
